Our programs are designed for Windows XP and later versions of Windows. We are not aware of any reasons why they should not run under older versions of Windows, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this.

Otherwise, the system requirements for Pisces programs are generally very modest. Our programs will run under any version of Windows from XP onwards, and on Macs using Windows emulation software. The program will run on both 32- and 64-bit operating systems. If you are using Windows over a distributed network, you may need to ask your Network Administrator for permission to install software.

Obviously an old PC with a small amount of RAM will be much slower, and if you are running a complex calculation such as TWINSPAN, on a large data set, it will take a long time to complete. More modern and powerful computers will normally carry out the most complex calculations in a matter of seconds.

Our e-books require Adobe Acrobat Reader software, version 6 or later.

The PDF documents used for our e-books are also compatible with the Mac OS.
